Since his departure from Bill Blass a few years back, Peter Som has been focusing on his own line while expanding with various licensing deals. Now our enigmatic friends, also known simply as "sources" place him at Tommy Hilfiger, who has been reportedly seeking a creative director since 2007.
WWD reported today that Som is in talks with Hilfiger to come on as a creative consultant, though neither sides were available for comment. The All-American Som holds obvious appeal for a brand like Hilfiger, and if it were to happen, we envision tremendous refinement with him at the helm.
