Before October becomes awash in pink for breast cancer awareness, Burton shared with us their Boarding for Breast Cancer 2009 fundraising intiative: the "Save the Melons" tank.
In conjunction with action sports e-retailer, CCS, Burton will retail the fun, fruity character tops at their nationwide flagships, including the Burton store on Spring Street, through October. Proceeds benefit Boarding for Breast Cancer, action sports' not-for-profit organization committed to raising awareness of the disease.
While at first we thought the arrival of a tee emblazoned with "Save the Melons" might be steeped in irony given our own physical make-up, upon learning more we were set straight.
