Macy's Targets Ruffian for Men's Capsule Collection

Openly emulating Target's successful Go International model, Macy's has enlisted the so-hot-right-now Ruffian to design Spring and Fall 2010 menswear collections for their new private label, Threads & Heirs.

Having just launched their Mise en Scene collection for Anthropologie, Ruffian co-designers Brian Wolk and Claude Morais will now delve into the menswear arena to add some design edge to Macy's latest venture.  Macy's men's fashion director Durand Guion named Target as the inspiration behind the collaboration, and hopes that a similar strategy will help add some high-end cache to the mass market, at prices they can afford.  The line will be the centerpiece of the department store's first floor, therefore offering a tangible edge to the inventory as well.

Lucky boys.
