File under: OMG! Givenchy announced the impending birth of Redux -- a line of goods starting at a refreshingly accessible $300. Givenchy designer Riccardo Tischi will be whipping up a collection of chic classics like white shirts, shoes and leather jackets, all for less than couture prices.
In our opinions, only the truly cool can abandon pretension in the face of change and come up with something refreshingly different, not to mention accomplish their signature sense of design and silhouette on a dime. Oh all right, we admit: We're just excited we might (might) actually be able to afford something Givenchy come fall. Between this and an Alexander McQueen sample sale, maybe this recession's got some brighter spots, after all.
