In a move reminiscent of a Project Runway challenge, designer Cynthia Rowley has been tapped to design a new uniform for United Airlines' 40,000 employees for 2011.
Rowley's whimsical feminine retro aesthetic strikes us as the perfect match to revamp the classic genre of airline attendant uniforms, and she would be the perfect designer to pay homage to the golden heyday of the glamour of travel.
