The award for the most creative use of retail space in one of those pre-recession glitzy developments goes to E2E4 on Bowery. It will welcome a flea market of fledgling artists, designers and collectors to be called the Bowery Bazaar.
This is truly exciting news for the Bowery. Although everybody knows the promise that the Bazaar will "bring the authenticity back to the Bowery" is, well, just impossible, it will certainly add to its next generation appeal. Let's face it, the Bowery is not, and never will be, what it used to be. But that's OK, because now that it has a flea market, it's awesome anyway.
Please, BB, we beg of you, be as good as the Brooklyn Flea...
