Alexander Wang to Focus on Accessories, Launch Eyewear

Already craving Wang's tough-and-sexy accessories? Well, in a recent piece in W Magazine, Wang reveals he intends to add to his already incredibly popular lineup by adding eyewear.

The W piece is kind of heartwarming for those of us who first fell in love with his rather earnest cashmere pieces years back, and gives proper credit to Wang's "meteoric rise" -- from his first complete ready-to-wear collection in 2007 to his star-making runway show in 2008. And he's still only 25.

His most recent (astounding) success, however, has in arguably been his accessories. The "Coco" duffel sold out in hours some places, and the waiting list for his shoes at Opening Ceremony was reportedly 900 names long. Indeed, according to W, the designer's accessories count for a full 30 percent of his business. So it's no surprise he'd choose to bolster his lineup. We're betting they're as '90s-inspired as the rest of his recent collection, though who knows, he's been rather unpredictable -- we wouldn't be surprised if he came out with 1940s-chic frames.
