Hot on the tail of one of its main competitors, JC Penney, Wisconsin-based Kohl's discount retailer is said to be scouting Upper West Side retail locations.
Women's Wear Daily is reporting, along with Crain's and The Real Deal, that reps from the chain are in town to check out the space at 1775 Broadway, just south of the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle. The buzz comes just months after JC Penney made a splash with its first Manhattan location in Herald Square, and as Penney's is of Kohl's largest rival shops, we are expecting the latter's entree onto the island in no time.
