Tuesday Watch List: Sinatra! Olivia! Hammer!

Welcome to Watch List, where we identify five things on TV to watch while you stay at home and celebrate your Tony award nomination for Best Scenic Design For A Musical. No one can make a cloud hanging from wires like you can, sir. LET’S GO!

AMERICAN IDOL – 8:00PM (FOX) Tonight is Sinatra Night! Oh, yes. The five final contestants, under the tutelage of mentor Harry Connick Jr., will croon wedding standards from ol’ Blue Eyes himself. If Connick is any kind of mentor, he’ll also school the final five on how to truly capture the essence of Frank. It’s important that they fly to Vegas and see some showgirls, drink some scotch and  cut in line at the best restaurant in town. That’s how Frank did it, gang. WITH CLASS. ANTICIPATION: IT HAD TO BE THESE PEOPLE

DANCING WITH THE STARS – 8:00PM (ABC) Tonight one celeb gets the boot and Train performs a song. Yes, Train! Scoring your elevator ride at work since 2003. It’s a tough matchup for your eyeballs this evening. Do you go with Sinatra, or do you go with Train? Who really captures your heart more? Not so easy to decide now, is it? TELL ME! DID THE SUMMER WIND SWEEP YOU OFF YOUR FEET?! ANTICIPATION: CHOO CHOO CHOOSE THEM!

LOST – 9:00PM (ABC) Tonight’s episode is entitled “The Candidate”. What does it all mean?! What task has Jack been asked to perform? Can Jack really trust Locke? Couldn’t these people have watched a DVD of “Six Days, Seven Nights” and learned to build their own sea plane out of driftwood? DID MOSES REALLY EXIST? I know it only take three licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop, BUT WHAT OF BLOW POPS? I MUST KNOW OF BLOW POPS! So many questions. ANTICIPATION: ALL QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED WITH SEVEN MORE QUESTIONS!

GLEE – 9:00PM (FOX) Tonight’s episode guest stars Olivia Newton John and features the following songs: “Ice Ice Baby,” “U Can’t Touch This,” “Let’s Get Physical,” and “Total Eclipse Of The Heart.” You either find that prospect campy and fun, or more terrifying than “The Human Centipede.” I vote centipede. ANTICIPATION: WE GOT TO PRAY JUST TO MAKE IT TODAY

V – 10:02PM (ABC) Did you know “V” star Elizabeth Mitchell also makes kid’s music? I did. In fact, my kid won’t stop playing “Little Liza Jane.” She plays it 50 times a day, often restarting it only 30 seconds after it has begun. And so I’d just like to say to Elizabeth: I hope the alien lizard people eat you. ANTICIPATION: ALIEN LIZARD PEOPLE!
