Bruce Willis' “Looper” Getting Even Better With Addition of Paul Dano

A cast featuring Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is generally more than enough to get two hours of our time, but throw in a Paul Dano and we're all-in.

Dano has joined the cast of "Looper," the upcoming sc-fi thriller, reported Variety. The film is about... oh, hell, it's too confusing, let's let director Rian Johnson explain it:

"Looper is a time travel movie, set in a near future where time travel doesn't exist but will be invented in a few decades. It's pretty dark in tone and involves a group of killers (called Loopers) who work for a crime syndicate in the future. Their bosses send their targets hogtied and blindfolded back in time to the Loopers, and their job is to simply shoot them in the head and dispose of the body. So the target vanishes from the future and the Loopers dispose of a corpse that doesn't technically exist, a very clean system. Complications set in from there."

Willis and Gordon-Levitt will play the same character at different ages, and it's a safe bet they'll ultimately face one another.

We've said it before, we'll say it again, we love Johnson. "Brick" (which starred JGL) was a remarkably original debut and "Brothers Bloom," though fraught with pitfalls--like a terrible, "blame the test screenings" ending--was brimming with charm, and even made Rachel Weisz fun. He's only three films into his career, but Johnson has shown that he's unlikely to ever tread the same ground twice.
