Josh Pence Playing Young Ra's Al Ghul in “Dark Knight Rises”

Josh Pence starred in the most decorated American film of 2010, and nobody saw his face. His newest role should offer quite bit more exposure.

Pence, who served as a stand-in for Tyler Winklvoss--only to have Armie Hammer's face superimposed over his own in "The Social Network"--will play the young Ra's Al Ghul in "The Dark Knight Rises," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Al Ghul clan figures to play a prominent role in final chapter of Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" trilogy. Liam Neeson played him in the original, but his younger self will appear in flashbacks in the film, and there are rumors that Marion Cotillard will be playing his daughter Thalia, Batman's erstwhile mentor who becomes a foe.

Christian Bale, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman are all returning for "Dark Knight Rises." They'll be joined by Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, Tom Hardy as Bane, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Juno Temple playing as yet unidentified roles.

"The Dark Knight Rises" July 20, 2012.
