David Wright Moves to Upper East Side Rental?

Is New York City's most eligible bachelor, David Wright no longer on the market? If the real estate news revolving around the Mets slugger is any indication, then sorry ladies, we may be out of luck.

The Post reports that the slugger inked a deal to move into the Lucida, an eco-friendly building in the family friendly Upper East Side. The third baseman has been residing in his three-bedroom Flatiron District penthouse, which he bought for $6.1 million in 2006. Wright dubbed the full-floor loft "the ultimate bachelor pad" and even went so far as to block traffic on East 21st Street so he could use a crane to hoist a massive jacuzzi into his crib.

The slugger's new and much less flashier home is a two bedroom spread that's renting for $12,000 per month.  The Lucida condominium building on East 85th Street features a La Palestra fitness and spa center, sky-lit indoor pools, and an indoor children's playground. Curbed dug up a listing for a $12,000 per month apartment in the Lucida, though it's unclear whether the unit now belongs to maybe-Bachelor David Wright.
