Contemporary Waterfront In South Carolina Asks $2M

The two-story home offers stunning views and a deepwater dock.

A contemporary, waterfront home in South Carolina has recently hit the market for $1.975 million, reports the  Wall Street Journal

The two-story home, located high above Chechesse Creek, offers stunning views and a deepwater dock. The two-story living room is a centerpiece of the home, as well as the floor-to-ceiling glass that brings in buckets of sunlight.

Off the great room is a kitchen and dining room, and a fireplace open on three sides with a black walnut mantel. The main floor, which features limestone flooring, also includes a pantry, laundry, and office, with his and her computer work stations. Maple wood cabinetry, baseboard and moldings are found throughout. A screened porch with built-in grill and fireplace is on the side, and offers fabulous views.

The second floor features the master bedroom and bath, a guest bedroom, and media room, which shares a porch with the master. The Thomas Angel-designed landscaping "blends seamlessly into the natural environment, creating a tranquil setting," according to the listing.

The home offers about 3,760 square feet of living space, with covered porches, three bedrooms, and 3.5 bathrooms. There's also a detached garage and upstairs guest apartment.
