Taylor Momsen Bills Herself Next Edie Sedgwick at Don Hill's

Gossip Girl actress and Pretty Reckless lead singer Taylor Momsen hilariously positioned herself as the next Edie Sedgwick last night at Don Hill's by covering the Rolling Stones classic "Factory Girl." The hot mess of a starlet -- in the house for a joint Paper Magazine and Express party -- didn't help matters by reminiscing about Andy Warhol's Factory too, an artists collective that peaked around the time Momsen's mother was born.

The comparison is a stretch. Sedgwick was muse to Warhol, while Momsen mostly inspires the Teen Beat crowd. But the 17-year old, whom Don Hill's bartenders were smart enough not to serve, dressed the part of Edie (not to mention members of the world's oldest profession) in boots rarely worn outside of San Fernando Valley adult film shoots and, of course, distressed fishnets.

As for the venue, Don Hill's might want to retool its musical programming (fewer novelty acts, more Velvet Underground types) if it hopes to become the modern day Factory instead of a flash-in-the-pan nightlife assembly line product.
