Video: Twin Sister, “Bad Street”

Come for the classic '80s John Hughes film, stay for the retro '80s pop.

Last night at McCarren Park, attendees of Summerscreen -- where "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" was shown on projection screen -- got a seriously pleasant surprise, when Brooklyn's own Twin Sister performed an evening set and premiered the new video for their single "Bad Street."

The video for the gentle, twinkling funk track -- the first single off their forthcoming first LP, In Heaven, due out Sept. 27 -- is five minutes of good vibes and sunshine, chronicling a summer birthday party filmed in Long Island at the home of lead singer Andrea Estrella.

Adorable kids play with sidewalk chalk and bust pinatas, adults dance through a fish-eye lens, and there's plenty of birthday cake for everyone. It's an appropriately upbeat clip that matches the playful pop of "Bad Street" and Estrella's Bjork-meets-Victoria-Legrande coo.
