Watch: The Antlers Enlist New York Musicians

Last May, the Brooklyn based trio that calls themselves The Antlers released their beautiful new album Burst Apart, (Frenchkiss Records). Since then the band has been on the road in support of their new opus, but the band took a few steps to make sure we wouldn’t forget them.

In May we posted The Antlers first video in a series of three studio collaborations with fellow New York artists playing songs from Burst Apart. This first video featured a performance of “Rolled Together” with Alan Palomo, who you many recognize as the creative force behind Neon Indian.

The series continued with The Antlers playing “Parentheses” with Bear In Heaven and “Hounds” with Nicole Atkins. Both videos can be found below. They help highlight choice cuts from an album that is solid from top to bottom.

Ambitious New Yorkers can travel to Montclair, N.J. to see The Antlers next area performance when they open for Explosions in the Sky at the Wellmont Theatre. Overly ambitious New Yorkers should consider joining The Antlers on the five-day Weezer Cruise that sails out of Miami this coming January.
