Punk legend, Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Famer and National Book Award winner Patti Smith will cap off a big 2011 with a series of end of the year engagements at The Bowery Ballroom.
The shows will go from Dec. 29 through New Year's Eve and go on sale this Friday.
Smith won rave reviews and copious awards for her heartbreaking recent memoir "Just Kids," and is currently working on a detective novel.
Which is fantastic and all, but shows like these are a reminder that she was put on earth to make the hairs on your arms stand at attention and make you wonder if you were born during the wrong time period while she wails on "Gloria."
