Lissy Trullie; Madly, Deeply

Lissie Trullie is the sort of girl your mother either warned you about or worried you'd become. (Or, I don't know, maybe your mom wanted you to be more like her? I don't know your life.) And now the New York singer songwriter will release her self-titled debut album on March 6 by Downtown Records.

The album will be the follow-up to her 2009 debut EP Self-Taught Learner, which showed that Trullie had already learned quite a bit from The Runaways and Debbie Harry. For the follow-up she worked with TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek, who has also produced the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Jane's Addiction, and John Hill, who has worked with Santigold and M.I.A.

We haven't gotten the chance to listen to the album yet, but based on song titles like "I Know Where You Sleep" and "Spit You Out," it doesn't look like this is the dawn of a kinder, gentler Trullie.
