The bad news:
By the time you tried to park a seat to see Lupe Fiasco perform at the Blue Note in March with the Robert Glasper Experiment (which was genius--ICYMI, check out our slideshow here), the shows were beyond sold out. (And not to rub it in, but Kanye West and Mos Def both showed up to rhyme with Fiasco on the last night. Just saying.)

The good news: Tickets are still available for Monday’s show, when Fiasco wraps a two-nighter at Roseland Ballroom (before heading south to kick off the New Orleans Jazz Fest next week) in support of his new album Lasers.

The fan video below was taken at last night’s show; here he performs “Daydreaming” with guest vocalist Sarah Green, his collaborator as far back as his debut album, 2006’s Food and Liquor. (Speaking of which, Fiasco mentioned in a recent interview that the follow-up, Food and Liquor 2, is still happening, and it’ll be "dedicated to the nerdy Lupe Fiasco fans out there," full of concept songs and insider nods. Fine by us.

Lupe Fiasco, Monday April 25, 8 p.m. at Roseland Ballroom, 239 West 52nd St.,
New York; (212) 247-0200. Tickets are $63 and available via Ticketmaster.
