Last Minute Plan: K. Flay @ Tammany Hall

Tonight marks another installment of Popshop, which is the monthly party hosted by Neon Gold Records, along with their cohorts HeavyRoc and Highrise PR.

This evening will feature a set by producer and emcee extraordinaire K. Flay, whose one-woman show is an exercise in experimental, head-bobbing beats mixed with a smart lyrical flow that meets on a middle ground where style prevails. The Stanford-educated San Franciscan is a fast-rising star in the world of indie hip hop, so we recommend you see this powerhouse on a small stage while you still can.

Check out this video of K. Flay putting her own twist on the The Zombies “Time of the Season.”

Tonight’s gig at Tammary Hall is $10 in advance and $13 at the door. Tickets are still available for the event that includes performances by Penguin Prison and Spacecamp. Get your party pants on and cast yourself out into the sweaty fray.
