Despite having a debut album, Wreck of the Day, that sold nearly a million copies, netted her a prestigious ASCAP award, and made her prime material for the Ingrid Michaelson/Brandi Carlile track of semi-indie commercial success, Nalick watched while the major label she was signed to bungled capitalizing on her buzz.
She’s recently taken back control of her career, is about to release an album of new songs (a few of which are streamable on her website), and is poised to finally be a household name.
