Andrew W.K. Takes “Wet” Anniversary to Webster Hall

Has it really been 10 years since Andrew W.K. taught us all how to party? It seems like just yesterday we were wondering "is this guy for real?"

Fortunately, we all realized that was a silly question and submitted to the joyful bombast that was I Get Wet, the debut album by the Michigan fun soldier which contained no less than three songs with the word "party."

Well, prepare to party all over again, as W.K. is launching a 10-year Wet anniversary tour that will drop by Webster Hall on April 2.

W.K. followed up Wet with The Wolf, which was almost as good (this should have been a stadium filler) and then kind of did his own thing for a while after legal disputes kept his third album Close Calls With Brick Walls in limbo for years.

He hosted TV shows, did motivational speaking, opened Santos Party House and did the downtown avant-garde thing.

Which is all well and good, but this man was born to overload our pleasure centers and drive a crowd past the point of frenzy, so it's heartening to see him back to doing what he does best. Also, this show will have more stage diving than you have ever seen in your entire life.
