Actress Lea Thompson: My Role in “Back to the Future” Was a “Gift From God”

Actress Lea Thompson said her favorite role was playing Lorraine Baines in the "Back to the Future" trilogy.

"It was so fun," Thompson said at the "Back to the Future" 25th anniversary bash in Manhattan on Monday. "My character was so demented. It was a gift from God."

"I've never had a character that good again."

The actress -- who has held roles in film, theater and television series since her stint in the cult classic -- was joined by former castmembers Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd Monday night.

"It's incredible," Thompson gushed. "It's just so great to see everybody and to see that everybody's doing really well and to share that love that we had for each other again."

She said working with Michael J. Fox on the 1985 flick was a great experience: "It was always a joy. He's so funny and so generous and so kind."
