Killola Unplugs for Acoustic Set at Soho Boutique

Killola lowered the volume on their typically rowdy stage show for an intimate acoustic set at a packed Sigerson Morrison boutique in Manhattan last night.

“We're usually a rock band but for now we're all The Mamas and the Papas,” lead singer Lisa Rieffel said.

The small Soho venue was worlds away from the arenas and clubs the L.A.-based band is used to playing in, but the band rocked the crowd with a few tunes from their two albums “Louder, Louder!” and “I Am The Messer.”

They also played a song from a soon-to-be-released movie titled “Girltrash: All Night Long” (which stars Rieffel) called “Cracks in the Armor.”

“We're sorry for being all up in your grills, though,” Rieffel told fans.

When the crowd of 50 screamed for an encore, the band obliged, playing an acoustic cover of Toni Basil's classic “Mickey.”
