As reported by HealthDay News, the American Academy of Pediatrics has identified a number of warning signs that may indicate attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder in young children.
ADHD is commonly associated with impulsive behavior and difficulty maintaining attention and focus.
The Academy said that children who have trouble waiting, taking turns and commonly interrupt other people may be showing symptoms of ADHD.
Other symptoms parents should watch for include running into traffic without checking for oncoming cars, answering questions before the questions are finished and generally acting or talking in a manner that suggests a lack of forethought.
