Heavy Rain, Fog Friday Ahead of Sunny Spring Weather

Heavy rain, along with cool temperatures and dense fog, are expected throughout the day Friday, before making way for more pleasant spring weather over the weekend.

Downpours will likely cause localized ponding of water on some roadways. Most places will receive between 1 to 2 inches of rain. Expect wind to drive the rain sideways at times.

Track the storm on the Interactive Radar.

The rain is likely to cause airport delays Friday throughout the area. Rain should clear out during the evening hours, though some patchy fog may linger. Lows will drop into the lower 40s Friday night.

Conditions improve Saturday with increasing amounts of sunshine and highs in the lower 60s. Sunday looks mostly sunny though a touch cooler, with highs in the upper 50s.

Expect mild spring weather for most of next week, with highs in the 60s and 70s and no major storms on the horizon. The only downside is that pollen levels are expected to be high, making things tough for allergy sufferers.
