Showers, Thunderstorms May Cause Flooding in Tri-State Sunday

The tri-state will see warm temperatures again Sunday, though some areas might see flooding due to popup showers due to pass across the area throughout the day.

Warm and humid conditions will continue in the area, with highs in the lower to mid-80s, according to Storm Team 4.

Unfortunately isolated showers and thunderstorms passing through the area into the afternoon will give way to widespread showers and embedded thunderstorm activity late Sunday

The troublesome weather will continue into the night due to a crossing cold front.

Areas in the tri-state that do not have great drainage may see flooding like some Suffolk County communities did on Saturday.

The worst threat will come between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Drier weather will return tomorrow along with lower humidity and highs between 80 to 85 degrees.
