Delays crept up to an hour after a three car-accident forced authorities to shut down the inbound center tube of the Lincoln Tunnel Monday morning, according to Total Traffic.
Delays started at around 30 minutes and grew quickly, and NJ Transit said bus customers experienced delays to Port Authority.
It wasn't immediately clear if anyone was hurt, nor was it known what caused the accident. The accident was cleared by 8:30 a.m., but hour-plus delays continued.
Drivers also experienced delays in Wayne, New Jersey, where an accident involving 10-vehicles, including a tractor-trailer, shut down the left and center lanes of Interstate 80 westbound near routes 23 and 46.
