BONANZA: More than 150 big-name designers (Calvin Klein, Yves Saint Laurent, Fendi, Band of Outsiders, and so many more) have donated $1 million worth of merchandise that’ll be tagged at 50 to 70% off retail at the Housing Works Fashion for Action sale, co-chaired by Derek Lam and coordinated with Gilt Groupe, which kicks off tonight with a private shopping preview at the Chelsea Thrift Shop, followed by an auction gala at the Rubin Museum. The sale event is then open to the public from November 19-22, and all proceeds go to Housing Works’ lifesaving services for homeless and low-income New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS.
