Marc Jacobs Collaborates on Line of Wool, Rat-Embellished Slippers

Marc Jacobs has collaborated with footwear purveyor Stubbs & Wootton, a favorite amongst the preppy set, on a line of slippers featuring Jacobs' signature "stinky rat" logo.

Jacobs' cheeky, devil-may-care attitude and whimsical aesthetic adds the perfect dose of irreverence to the blue-blooded brand. In any other incarnation, fashion folks would very likely be turned off at the sight of vermin, but Jacobs' particularly recognizable icon is likely to be this summer's skull and bones—expect to an infestation out on the Vineyard next summer.

The slippers, available next week both online at Marc Jacobs' newly-launched e-commerce site, as well as local Marc Jacobs stores in six colors for $495 a pair.
