Ladies, bachelorette parties, and select gents, if you have any kind of fireman fantasy (or, you know, a pulse), get yourself to the Firestore in the West Village Thursday night, where the firefighters featured in the City of the Brave Firefighters of NYC 2010 Calendar will be signing copies, posing for photos, and generally showing off why they got picked to be Mr. April or Mr. October in the first place.
The City of the Brave calendar features photography by Katherine Kostreva (of whom we are deeply jealous right now) and retails for $19.95; a portion of the proceeds goes to the Thomas R. Elsasser Fund, which benefits the families of firefighters lost outside of the line of duty. You’ll also be able to pick up the $14.99 2010 New York City Firefighters Calendar, the 14th annual edition, shot and produced by Battman Studios, which supports the Staten Island Burn Center.
So come on down, get your holiday shopping wrapped up, and squeeze a bicep or two.
