Massive Designer Shoe Sales Hit Barneys, Bergdorf's

Names like Balenciaga and Prada are now marked down even further

The shoe event of the year -- a.k.a. the week when the big department stores enter their second round of markdowns on designer shoes -- is officially upon us. Two Lucky editors chanced upon the epic sale at Barneys over the weekend, and we can confirm that the selection is truly spectacular.

Right now you can snap up pairs of sandals, heels, and wedges from names like Balenciaga, Chloe, Lanvin, and of course, Manolo Blahnik for an extra 33 percent off their sale price. A quick browse uncovered studded T-strap Manolo Blahniks (were $865, now $347), a leopard-print Prada platform for under $300 (was $750, now $299), and these adorable pom-pom embellished gold flats by Sigerson Morrison for under $200 (were $490, now $199)!

Over at Bergdorf Goodman, you can now take an extra 25 percent off all the items on sale in the store's well-stocked shoe section, including these leopard-print Manolo Blahnik Mary Janes (were $675, now $339) -- and seriously, we haven't seen a markdown this steep on a pair of Manolo Mary Janes in a very long while. Oh, and don't miss Manolo's other attractive offering in the sale section: these silver d'Orsay pumps with an eye-popping leopard print lining (were $725, now $365).

With prices like these, we might be sneaking out of work at lunch to take a second look.
