Summer Restaurant Week is on! Through July 31, out of the 250+ eateries participating, we bring you a crib sheet to our favorites.

Lure Fishbar
142 Mercer Street at Prince Street; 212-431-7676; http://www.lurefishbar.com

Why: Because Lure’s décor – which makes you feel like you’re dining aboard a yacht docked off Cannes or Chatham – could easily be all this restaurant has going on. But it’s already got years of exemplary cooking under its belt to prove that it’s not just a pretty face (with a fantastic raw bar and – weirdly – one of the best burgers downtown. Just our opinion).

What to order off the RW menu: Lure subscribes to an often quoted but seldom follwed policy when it comes to serving seafood (or food, for that matter). The Restaurant Week menu is no exception: Try some New England clam chowder with littlenecks and smoked bacon or Malpeques with mignonette to kick things off. After that, go fawncy (steamed branzino with oyster mushrooms and ponzu) or shore shack (filet of fish basket with – what else? – French fries and coleslaw). End the night with warm chocolate cake, largely for its accompaniments: salted caramel ice cream and popcorn brittle. (See the full menu here.)

During Restaurant Week, lunch at participating establishments is $24.07, dinner $35.00. Reserve early.
