Crisis: Warehouse Fire Obliterates Trader Joe's Frozen Foods Section

advertisement

Some terrible news for Trader Joe's aficionados: A fire licked through one of the grocery chain's warehouses in California last week, consuming mass quantities of the frozen meals, fruits and veggies. Now, there's a shortage of chicken chipotle burritos and mini lasagnas at all East Coast TJ's stores. According to a staffer at the Brooklyn location, items are being trucked in sporadically from California, but the frozen foods aisle will be depleted until they get that warehouse fully up and running again. That could take some time, as the building has been condemned. If anyone has updates on the situation, let us know—we have to go take stock of what's left in our freezer.
