The Callalilai boutique on Atlantic Ave. is New York's only showroom for the line's designs, from Japanese-via-Paris label Aoyama Itchome, whose soft, drapey clothes and flowery/botanical print have a sort of "Auntie Mame's kimono collection" vibe, and genuinely look different from anything else in high or low fashion these days.
The stuff retails upwards of $200 for the most part, but at the boutique's Evening of Cheer event tonight, everything on the floor will be slashed to 40 percent off.
