Above The Fray: Ravinstyle Sale Worthy

A quiet, clean, carefully-organized room full of merchandise can mean bad things when it comes to a sample sale: if the deals aren't good enough, you won't get frenzied shoppers dashing around, grabbing at things and generally laying waste to the room. But the sedate Ravinstyle sample sale, being held through tomorrow evening at 466 Washington Street in Tribeca, is worth dropping by. The selection is good: There are a ton of dresses in different sizes from brands like Lewis Cho ($75 to $125) and Secrets of Charm. There are also assorted pairs of J Brand denim ($85 apiece), Kork-Ease shoes ($75) and Hoki plastic sandals ($15). But the real bargains can be found in the bins in the back, where we spotted drapy tasseled scarves in green or pink for $10 and pretty satin Deux Lux clutches for $25. A small jewelry assortment at the check out included affordable resin bangles and Jessica Cushman bracelets ($60). Sure, some of it is still a bit pricey, but there are steals to be found.
