Trump Forest Getting Planted in Soho

The Trump Soho is pushing forward towards its big opening date in February, and crews at downtown's controversial condotelium have been loading in trees and pavers for the hotel's mid-block smoking area Urban Plaza.

This "landscaped outdoor garden with ambiance lighting" from Handel Architects extends along the east side of Ivanka's playpen, from Spring to Dominick Street.

The seating areas could become a handy hangout for the high school kids who study across the way, if The Donald doesn't blind them all with Aqua Net.

From this alley of urbanity Trump's guests will have views of a fittingly industrial loading dock to the north, and a parking lot to the south. They might be touting this Trumpalicious tower as "ultra-luxury," but just outside edginess and urban life abound.
