Toll Brothers 5SL Getting a Little Friend in LIC

The Toll Brothers 5SL development in Long Island City is getting a little friend. Broker/blogger Andrew Fine reports the new development, rendered above, is going to be diagonally across from the new Duane Reade on 5th Street and 47th Road and will be squeezed into a 25'x100' lot. He says it will be "some sort of condo with (hooray) ground floor retail and terraces o'plenty!" Also, it will not screw with the views of north-facing 5SL dwellers. A look a property records shows the existing building and land sold for $1.7 million in June. Meanwhile, plans have been filed at the Department of Buildings for a four-story structure with six units. Also, note all the traffic and people on the street in the rendering.
