One way to judge the lack of popularity of the new Cemusa street furniture newsstands is the fact that people are still taking note of when old ones go down and replaced by their new steel-and-glass friends. For instance, in this case "yet another authentic, old-school newsstand has been replaced with the sleek but sterile offerings from Cemusa that are corner by corner sapping character from the city's streets."
