On the Racked: Banksy Makes McNuggets, Whole Foods Rant, EMS Goes South, More

And now the latest from Racked, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up.

1) West Village: No, the Village Pet Store and Charcoal Grill at 89 Seventh Avenue South isn't selling or cooking pets. We're talking animatronic McDonald's chicken McNuggets pecking at a packet of sauce and caged hot dogs squirming under heat lamps. One word: Banksy.

2) Union Square: Love for Whole Foods? Sure. But this is freaking rant about it and a good one at that.

3) Soho: While Soho's 591-593 Broadway is trading Eastern Mountain Sports' fleece pullovers for Victoria's Secret's padded bras, the latest news is that EMS is taking a hike south to a bi-level, 18,000-square-foot storefront at 530 Broadway and Spring Street.

4) Greenpoint: Do check out the new Greenpoint boutique Old Hollywood from Catbird buyer Tiffany Porter: vintage pieces, reworked vintage and vintage-inspired items by under-the-radar designers like La Crasia, Jezebel, Inherited Leather and Tilly Doro. For more stories from Curbed, go to curbed.com.
