Up in Morningside Heights, Kim's Mediapolis was forced to close following a decline in business and a rent increase from its landlord, Columbia. Is the waning media chain mad at the university? Hardly. The shop donated thousands of DVDs and VHS tapes (VHS! No wonder it went out of business) to Columbia's Butler Media Collection. The store will become a Ricky's, just in time for Halloween.
