In case anyone is unaware or might have come across some people sitting on turf in parking spaces today, the reason is that it's (Park)ing Day, an event that comes around every year around this time. This year's about 50 parking spaces are being transformed into hang out places with chairs and other things. The event actually takes place in 50 cities, but we're going to guess that it may be received most colorfully right here in New York.
