Of all the places in Brooklyn that are hard to get into unless one works on the property, the Brooklyn Navy Yard is at the top of the list. The 300 acre site that is alive with the rusting ghosts of military history and the 30,000 people who toiled there during World War II is full of incredible buildings, some of them in states of magnificent decay.
