Occasionally we get e-mails from angry pedestrians about the stretch of Houston Street between Broadway and Bowery, which is a double-sided snarl of road work, condo construction and traffic. It still is, but now the city welcomes you to rest up smack in the middle of all the action. Sitting down just got extreme!
