TIMES SQUARE—The scaffolding has come down at the newly dubbed Times Square Building on 43rd Street, formerly the home of the New York Times. Lev Leviev's Africa-Israel is giving the building a thorough scrubbing and reno and turning it into super-fancy office space. WILLETS POINTIn what is sure to be an odd scene, the Willets Point Defense Committee—a militaristic sounding group that opposes the city's redevelopment plan—will protest the "CUNY on Wheels" bus that will be parked on 126th Street in the Iron Triangle. The bus marks the beginning of the "Workforce Assistance Program," an outreach to workers who'll be displaced if the redevelopment goes through. This could get ugly.
