CurbedWire: Soho Mudslide (Not a Drink Special), West Village Hotel?

SOHO—Our tipsters are not afraid to get dirty, folks. One writes, "There appears to be a massive spillage of mud, about 6 inches deep, all over Broome Street at Thompson. It looks like it came from the big mess of a construction site on that corner. There are construction workers on cell phones with tow trucks yelling 'we've got to get these cars outta here!' Big mess." We're having a complete brainfart on what's getting built on that corner, so instead just take a look at the slop and amuse yourself. UPDATE: Oh, there it is. [CurbedWire Inbox]

WEST VILLAGE—Paging Andrew Berman! A Curbed reader writes: "I heard that Village Auto Center at the corner of Leroy and West Street has been sold, and the buyer is planning to build a boutique hotel in its place." Anyone got intel? [CurbedWire Inbox]
