Construction Watch: An Exclusive Look Inside Burg's Edge

We got up to the 17th floor of Williamsburg's Edge a couple of days ago on the two-acre site where two towers are going up simultaneously. The South tower is now at 19 of its 30 stories, with about two floors being added weekly. It's expected to be topped off sometime next month. The second tower, which will clock in at 15 stories, is somewhat behind, but has less to go. The goal is a late 2009 finish. Phase I of the project includes 575 luxe and 347 affordable units. There will also be nearly 100,000 square feet of retail space, plus a two-floor restaurant on the East River facing Manhattan. Do check out the killer views which can always be compared to ones in some early renderings.
