The Golden Age of Cheap Eats

Pizza, the recession special?

advertisement

Yes it's the golden age of pizza. And yes, it's also the golden age of the sandwich. In the last six months pizza and sandwich shops seem to be the only things opening around this town, a sign that recession minded entrepreneurs are trying their damnest to appeal to cash-strapped, comfort food-craving diners. To provide a visual representation of just how nuts things have gotten, we present a map of all of sandwich and pizza places to open (and some that are about to open) since last October. Now, can we all agree it's time to stop all this? We'd really like something else to eat.
