Kosher Cut-Ups Create Salami Menorah

Ordinarily you cannot eat a menorah. Ordinarily a menorah is not 15-feet high.  David's East Side Deli in Palm Beach Gardens rectified both of these short comings when it erected a 15-foot-tall menorah made of kosher salami. It gives a whole new meaning to eight crazy nights.

The warm weather in Palm Beach this time of year (the high is 79º today) doesn't seem conducive to a giant anything made of salami wrapped in wire and left outside, but it does look delicious, It also gets you thinking, what could we in New York, with our balmier climes, pull off. In the interests of inter-city rivalry, Russ & Daughters is hereby challenged to create a 20-foot herring menorah, and a giant dreidel bagel to put it on, next year.
