A husband and wife who sell tacos and quesadillas have been named New York City's best street vendors.

Fernando and Yolanda Martinez, who run the Country Boys/Martinez Taco Truck, took first place at the fifth annual Vendy Awards on Saturday.
The Vendy Awards celebrate the best of the city's street food.

The Martinezes make Mexican specialties out of their cart at the Red Hook ballfield in Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Flea in Fort Greene. Fernando Martinez said he was happy to know that people love his food.

About 700 hundred people attended the awards ceremony at the Queens Museum of Art. An Austrian food cart called Schnitzel and Things was named rookie of the year.

Other notable competitors this year were the Falafel King, Biryani Cart, Rickshaw Dumplings, and Jamaican Dutchy
